TEACHING & RESEARCH

I work as a lecturer for harpsichord and Early music at the Novia University of Applied Sciences (www.novia.fi) in Finland. The unique pedagogical model of the Baroque music degree programme combines one-to-one tuition in a traditional master-apprentice setting and various collaborative group teaching methods. You can read my thesis about the teaching methods and the history of the degree programme here (in English).

Tove Djupsjöbacka wrote an article on the Baroque music degree programme and its pedagogical model in the Finnish Music Quarterly in 2017 (in English):

Wilhelm Kvist wrote an article on the degree programme in 2016 (in Swedish):

I am also a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Education. My research interests are adult education, competence development, music pedagogy, improvisation and creativity. More information about my Ph.D. research will follow soon.
